Luxury Brands tackle Internet Titans -
There was good news from France last week for the bevy of brands (including Tiffany ) suing online auction site eBay over copyright and trade mark infringing eBay sellers auctioning counterfeit goods. According to Business Week , luxury goods company Hermès won a small but significant victory in the French court in Troyes against both eBay and the actual seller of two counterfeit bags on the site. Hermes won about £15,000 plus an order that eBay publish notice of the judgment on its French site.
